This solo exhibition entitled Bloom was presented at Brunswick Street Gallery and was completed shortly after Clark’s return from an international residency in the Netherlands. This show was her first use of textiles, in which she upholstered sections of her wooden panels with faux fur. Clark uses the saturated colour of the acrylic paint and the fluffy texture of the faux fur to explore the idea of excessive prettiness turning into something tacky and nearing on ugly.
