This exhibition was created during a three month residency at ARE in the Enschede Netherlands and was presented at the XPO exhibition space. The work aims to redefine intense shapes and colours not as pejoratively ‘girly’, silly and hollow, but as inherently momentous and powerful. Clark’s process investigates complementary and discordant correlations between colours. The show was entitled after all the paints used within the installation. Clark explores how primary and tertiary colours animate each other. Her practise strives to use strong colour combinations and engage their complementary and yet inherently discordant correlations to invade a space with colour.
